Dave Martin

Dave Martin is a Scottish based professional and accomplished electronic musician, producer, sound designer and versatile percussionist who has worked and performed through out the UK and overseas with a wealth of theatre/production/dance companies, solo artists, visual artists, groups and dancers.  He is also a much respected, inspiring and passionate educator and workshop facilitator and runs regular classes and workshops for children, young people and adults in sound design, electronic music production and percussion.                         

 Dave is heavily involved in the traditional music scene in Scotland and working in partnership with the National Theatre of Scotland co produced a new contemporary Cèilidh experience mixing club culture with Cèilidh culture which is now known as the Big Fat Electric Ceilidh and is performing all over Scotland.  As a percussionist Dave's main instruments are the Bodhran, frame drums, Cajon, North Indian Tabla and drumkit.  He has spent many years absorbed in the drumming world learning styles and techniques from around the globe. He has played with a huge amount of musicians and groups covering many styles from traditional scottish to bhangra to experimental and rock.
